This is the "long-awaited" Lake Padden movie. It took me a while to get this finished because Amanda had objections about the music I'd picked. But Zach's prodding in the Blow Chat inspired me to finish the film with a new song, one I've probably used before, which will only add to the intense embarrassment the choice alone will cause me.
But since it's an entirely different kind of song, I had to re-edit the entire film. So even if you've already seen this one, it might be good to see again just for the stupid-factor. It's still not Leslie Nielsen's Stupid Little Golf Video stupid, though. (shudder)
Try to guess what the song is before it plays! ... You're probably right.
The Blow Me Down Episode 0804 - "Lake Patten" [sic]
The Blow Me Down had her first sailing for the year of 2008! We all agreed, once we were out there, that it was about time! The movie of the outing is up already, after editing it for two-and-a-half hours last night (while Amanda and David watched the Country Music Awards on ABC).
Sunday's crew consisted of Tristan, Zach and Michael. Our snackies were sandwiches, chips and salsa. Our official maximum fun for the day was 30° of fun and the trip lasted for about two hours. Thanks, guys! We made it look easy!
This movie is by far the longest ever funded by Blow Me Down coffers and hopefully not the least interesting. 46 minutes of footage was edited down to about 16 minutes of content. Without any real rising action, it's hardly a summer blockbuster.
Also, I want to congratulate Ryan Barnard! At 4:45 on Saturday, he found himself married to a beautifully dressed Nicole Edwards. The entire crew of The Blow Me Down wish you a safe trip to Europe.
The Blow Me Down Episode 0801 - "Gross Nastiness"
UPDATE: I modified the video to remove a couple of boring scenes and to change the ending a bit. Director's Cut!
Hey all, I just wanted to point out that a new "Movies" account has been created that contains all of the official Blow Me Down funded movies in existence. The movies themselves are still stored in an off-site file storage, but this will be the one-stop-shop to go to for Blow Me Down Movies. This is a much better than trying to find them in Tristan's years of old posts.
Some of them are broken links and will be fixed soon, but some really old ones, including Arby's first arrival, are still present and watchable! Check them out.
A permanent link to the movies account, like the ones that exist for all Newsie posters, can be found at movies.theblowmedown.com.
Well, the first one seemed so successful we decided to make another one. Probably the last of the series, unless the lake is still frozen in two weeks. Then it'll probably have to be called "Frozen Toad Lake III : The Search for Dock".
